Kingswood Tri VRS Velo Club 10 Mile TT
Date: Tuesday 7th August 2012
Meet at: The Lamb Inn, Iron Acton.
Registration: From 6.30pm (TT starts 7.00pm due to darker nights)
Cost: £6 each to race which includes food in The Lamb Inn afterwards when the trophy will be presented. The winner is decided on the fastest average of each club.
Top 4 from each club will be picked to race in a 4-up pursuit (3 laps around the lakes, or just under 25 mile).
We had 25 members race last year, which was fantastic! It would be really good if we had similar numbers again this year, so can you please do your best to represent the club next week! Winning the trophy would be a bonus but it’s more important that club members come along and race, it should be a good night with a social in The Lamb afterwards!

Thanks to Jamie Evens, Paul Sheppard and Philippa Crocker for helping Marshall and time keeping tonight.
The first Velo Club/KIT TT meeting of the year.
Conditions were good with a light westerly wind and no rain!
Ed Trotman won riding a fixed gear TT bike beating Simon Hoyle ( Cat 2 roadie ) by one second.
Lee Francis was the first KIT rider, announcing his comeback with this ride which was over a minute slower than he was riding last year, due to an extended Stag weekend/wedding and 3 week Honeymoon in Vietnam.
There was quite a tussle around the 26 minute mark between Paul Sheppard, Matt Robinson and Jer Dale, with Paul just edging out Matt.
Look out for Jer Dale, he is now 50 and lives on the TT course, I anticipate a progressive improvement from him having moved from IM events to try his hand at TT’ing.
A big ‘thank you’ to the timekeepers – Alex Francis, Lee Rogers, the marshals Nic and Rich, Lee for organising the event and to Simon and the Velo team for their help.
This is a really useful training event with a simple out and back course, good for measuring your progress and for developing power on the flat, we look forward to seeing you there over the next few weeks,
